Fresh litter. Clean pans. Less hassle.Serving Southern Indiana & Louisville-area routes

Service Terms

1. Service scope

FreshBox Exchange provides recurring litter-box exchange, litter-box maintenance, automatic-box care, dog-waste removal and related pet-waste convenience services. The exact services included are determined by the customer’s selected plan, route availability and any written add-ons.

2. Route scheduling

Recurring service is route based. FreshBox assigns service days or service windows by geographic area. Route days may change because of holidays, weather, staffing, traffic, safety or route optimization. We will provide reasonable notice when practical. Porch-service customers do not receive a guaranteed exact arrival time.

3. Porch Exchange customer responsibilities

Customers must place the dirty assigned pan in the approved FreshBox station according to the service instructions and keep the station reasonably accessible. Customers are responsible for keeping the path to the station free from unsafe obstructions, aggressive animals, ice, dangerous conditions or locked access barriers. Used litter may be bagged and placed in the customer’s approved outdoor trash container when that disposal method is part of the service setup.

4. Assigned equipment

FreshBox-provided porch stations, pans, carriers or other equipment remain FreshBox property unless otherwise stated in writing. Assigned pans remain associated with the customer household during active service and are not intentionally rotated to another household. Customers must use reasonable care with the equipment. Lost, stolen, intentionally damaged or unreturned equipment may be charged at reasonable replacement cost, ordinary wear excepted.

5. Litter

Eligible exchange plans include FreshBox standard litter within normal household-use limits. If a cat requires a specific brand, substrate or specialty litter, the customer must supply enough of that litter in the agreed storage location. FreshBox may adjust pricing or service requirements for unusually high litter consumption, additional boxes, oversized pans or multi-cat conditions outside the selected plan.

6. Cleaning and sanitation

FreshBox uses a documented clean, wash, disinfect, rinse-when-required, dry and refill process appropriate to the equipment and products in use. Equipment is inspected during processing. Cracked, damaged or unsafe pans may be removed from service and replaced. FreshBox does not guarantee that a particular cat will accept a particular pan, litter, service frequency or exchange routine.

7. Home-entry service

Customers selecting home-entry service must provide safe, authorized access and accurate access instructions. Customers should use temporary smart-lock, garage or access codes where practical. FreshBox personnel will remain in the authorized service area except when reasonably necessary to enter or exit. Customers must secure aggressive or escape-prone animals before arrival. If safe access is unavailable, the visit may be treated as a missed customer-access visit and may remain billable.

8. Pets and safety

FreshBox may stop or refuse service when an animal, person, property condition, infestation, infectious-disease concern, severe contamination, hazardous material, weather condition or other circumstance creates an unreasonable safety or sanitation risk. FreshBox is not a veterinary or medical provider and does not diagnose animal or human health conditions. Customers should contact an appropriate veterinarian or professional when health concerns arise.

9. Automatic litter-box / RobotCare service

Automatic-box services are limited to models and procedures FreshBox accepts for service. Customers must disclose known defects, modifications or damage. FreshBox may photograph or record the condition and model information before and after service. Electronics are handled according to the approved service procedure and manufacturer-compatible precautions. Existing defects, ordinary wear and manufacturer failures are not caused by FreshBox merely because they are discovered during service.

10. Dog-waste service

FreshYard customers must provide safe yard access and secure animals as requested. Locked gates, inaccessible yards, excessive debris, dangerous conditions or unrestrained aggressive animals may prevent service. Initial or unusually heavy cleanup may be priced separately.

11. Missed visits and customer-caused access failures

If FreshBox arrives on the scheduled route and the station, yard or home is not safely accessible or the exchange is not prepared as required, the visit may remain billable because route time and travel were incurred. FreshBox may provide a courtesy exception at its discretion. FreshBox-caused missed service will be rescheduled, credited or otherwise corrected according to the circumstances.

12. Weather, holidays and service interruptions

FreshBox may delay or reschedule service for severe weather, unsafe road conditions, emergencies, holidays or other conditions outside reasonable control. Customer and technician safety takes priority over the scheduled route.

13. Billing and recurring plans

Recurring plans renew automatically according to the price and billing interval shown at checkout until cancelled under the applicable cancellation terms. Taxes, approved add-ons, extraordinary cleanup, replacement charges and other disclosed charges may be billed separately. Failed payments may pause service until the account is brought current.

14. Cancellations and equipment return

Customers may request cancellation using the contact method listed on the website. Cancellation does not erase charges already earned or incurred before the effective cancellation date. FreshBox-owned equipment must be made available for pickup or returned as instructed after cancellation. Final account closure may be delayed until assigned equipment is returned or replacement arrangements are completed.

15. Property, damage and reporting concerns

Customers should report a service concern or alleged property damage promptly so FreshBox can investigate while information is still available. FreshBox is responsible for damage caused by its negligence to the extent required by applicable law and insurance coverage. FreshBox is not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear, undisclosed defects, animal-caused damage or conditions outside FreshBox’s reasonable control.

16. Photos, service records and privacy

FreshBox may maintain timestamps, route records, equipment IDs and service-completion records. Photos of the service area or equipment may be used for condition verification, quality control or customer communication when appropriate. FreshBox will not intentionally use identifiable interior-home photographs for advertising without separate permission.

17. Changes to service

FreshBox may revise routes, equipment standards, service procedures and future pricing as the business develops. Existing customers will receive notice of material changes that affect their recurring service or price before the change takes effect when required.

18. Contact

Questions about service, cancellation, billing or equipment should be sent to the public FreshBox contact information listed on this website.
